Free Standing Spa

A free-standing outdoor spa is an above ground acrylic or fibreglass made tub installed in the backyards of homeowners. The free-standing outdoor spa is designed to provide relaxation, hydrotherapy, or pleasure to the body. The free-standing outdoor spas have developed dramatically over the years from the original invention back in the 1950’s.

Free-standing outdoor spas have a shell which sits in the housing of the spa. This shell is most commonly made from acrylic. A sheet of acrylic is inserted into a vacuum-moulding machine where the acrylic is heated and suctioned into the desired shape. This process gives the spa is shape whilst keeping its durability. The free-standing outdoor spas vary in numerous shapes, layouts and seating positions selected by the client, along with colour of the acrylic.

The housings consist of the electricals and plumbing for the jet filtration system.  Any additional features clients which to add to their spa must be installed prior to the assembly of the spa.

Once the shell and the housing of the spa are created, the shell will then be installed inside of the housing and the final fit out of the spa will start. After the spa is completed, it will be filled with water, and all settings and features tested prior to leaving for a quality check.
